Earlier today I got a question from a customer that I thought would help everyone I know in the marketing consulting or digital marketing agency game!
In short, he asked if I had any PLR content that would help him create his home page website for “a Marketer to use who does many different things”.
Here’s my response:
If I understand your question correctly you offer a lot of different marketing services? Is that correct? If not, please define what you mean when you say, “a Marketer to use who does many different things”.
What it comes down to, regardless of the number of services you offer, is what OUTCOME do you get for your clients? What desirable RESULT do they receive when working with you? For most consultants and agencies, it is getting more leads and customers. And the bottom line – this is HUGELY important – is that the client does NOT care HOW it gets done. They just want it done.
With that being said, your home page website should talk ONLY to the outcomes and results you get your clients. It should not talk about HOW you do it. For example, spewing all kinds of techno babble about SEO or Video Marketing or whatever is just going to confuse them or make them say to themselves, “Nothing different here. Seen and heard this before. Let’s move on.”
But if you talk about their problems, pains and struggles – not having enough leads and customers – and how you can solve that for them that is the key.
Now that is all at the MACRO level. That’s the high level when people are researching you and want to make sure you’re credible and they check out your website. You want to talk about their pains and problems and the outcomes and results. That’s all.
When you drill down to the MICRO level you can go a couple different ways.
You can have landing pages and paid ads, etc that target specific local niches that you work with, like plumbers, real estate agents, etc, AND/OR you can target a specific marketing service you offer.
For example, you can create an ad campaign for video marketing to build awareness and educate your market about the value of using video in their marketing.
And to take it up a level you can combine both… Video marketing for Real Estate Agents. When you can do that, it’s a real game changer!
But to answer your original question, “Does any of your websites or landing pages stand out as a good site for a marketer to use who does many different things?” no, not really. We’ve primarily focused on producing the Micro level content because that is what our customers have wanted. We have left it up to them to create their home base.
